CONQUER YOURSELF

Recently, I came across a touching story from social media of a lady-Jessica Cox (in pictures above) born without arms and yet has become the world’s first licensed pilot without arms. This is absolutely unbelievable and simply stunning. Most questions one would ask could be: “how did she do it”? “what even made her think that it’s possible to be a pilot without arms”?, “was she crazy”? Equally, “how did the family perceive her pursuit”?, “how did the trainer accept this impossible challenge”? While the list of mind bubbling questions can go on, the fact is, she made it and leaving her dreams against all circumstance through her unwavering faith in herself.

The bottom line is, the champion is within you, it begins with your mind. Most common used defence mechanism is that, “I can’t do this”, “I can’t meet this challenge”, “I was born on the wrong side of the tracks”, and others negativities. Regrettably with such statements, you are just impregnating your mind with negative thoughts, blocking your own good thereby bring lack, limitation and frustration into your life.

Dr. Josephy Murphy has indicated that, “think good, and good follows, think evil and evil follows”. You are what you think all day long. If Jessica Cox, Nick Vujicic and others thought that life without arms and limbs respectively is impossible to leave, they could have not accomplished what they have.

Desist from saying, “I can’t”. Overcome that fear of pursing your passions by substituting the following affirmation, “I can do it”, and simply do it, act and there are a number of good people in families and our circles who are willing to help us reach our destinations. Remember that you have the capacity to choose life as you are the master of your soul and the captain of your ship. Nothing and no one will stop you, the only obstacle is yourself and you therefore need to conquer yourself.

God bless!

Continue saying yes to your dreams and keeping working hard and smart to live them. Always remember that you are the champion of your life. No matter how much difficulties you may encounter in the pursuit of your life, there is no retreating because you have to focus on the finishing line.
GRATITUDE MENTALITY.

Learn to be grateful and show appreciation to God and also those who help us when we achieve our desires, our targets. It is a weakness not to praise God when you have a breakthrough and to man, it demonstrates ingratitude. Actually, thankfulness should be a way of life for us, naturally flowing from our hearts and mouths .

Learn to say thank you in whatever circumstance, at home, schools, workplaces, streets and everywhere you go. Even in hard times and circumstances being thankful is good but not easy. Kindly remember that even in the midst of hardship give thanks. A story is told of a man called Job who had similar attitude of praising his God even in the face of death by saying, “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised”.

It is easy to curse, utter unscrupulous sentiments to our supervisors inwardly and outwardly when they don’t approve our trip, training, allowances and other incentives. However, this is the time to say thank you sir/madam for everything with a big smile on your face.

Have a gratitude mentality.
